In a water jet cutting machine, a gearbox is primarily used to reduce the high speed of the motor to a more controlled, lower speed required for the precise movement of the cutting head, allowing for accurate and smooth cuts across the material being cut; essentially acting as a speed reducer to match the motor's power to the cutting head's necessary movement
Mechanical digital position indicators are cost-effective and have been tried and tested for decades
Gravity indicators are used when the handwheel spindle is horizontal or max 60° inclined. These position indicators are available in technopolymer or steel and can be combined with handwheels or knobs to be installed on the drive shaft. The rotation of the handwheel with the indicator makes the pointers move while the dial, appropriately counterbalanced, is kept still by gravity force. In the group of rotary controls, you can find direct drive position with case in technopolymer or steel and with analogue or analogue-digital type of reading. Dials are available with clockwise or anti-clockwise graduations. On request, you can ask for special dials with marks or customized graduations.
Photoelectric sensors, or photo eyes, emit a beam of light that detects the presence or absence of items and equipment or changes in surface conditions. When the light beam emitted by a photoelectric sensor is interrupted or reflected by the object, the change in light patterns is measured by a receiver and the target object or surface is recognized. Photoelectric sensors are very common in industrial manufacturing fields such as material handling, packaging, food and beverage, medical, and many others.
Planetary gearboxes are used in many industries, including food processing, because they are durable, compact, and can withstand extreme temperatures. They are used in a variety of food processing applications, including: Food packaging High-end gearboxes are important for high-quality food packaging and processing devices. Food drying Planetary gearboxes can be used in food drying, processing, and manufacturing industries. Cleaning systems Planetary gears can be used to adjust the height of cleaning systems. Precision portal systems Planetary gears can be used in gantry drive units to ensure accurate motion. Here are some things to consider when choosing a planetary gearbox for food processing: Quality: The gearbox should be made from high-quality materials and constructed precisely. Noise: Some gearboxes are designed to minimize noise. Mounting: Some gearboxes can be mounted in a variety of ways, including directly into the machine. Lubricant: Food grade lubricants are available for use on food processing equipment.
Spoked and solid disc handwheels or knobs in engineering plastics or aluminum on which the indicator can be mounted to maneuver the control shaft in order to vary the position of the machine. Handwheels with indicator with larger diameters are used when a higher torque is required; the use of lobe or knurled knobs is more suited to lower torques, less shaft turns and finer control. The knobs for position indicators are available with metal inserts for fitting to the shaft in burnished steel or stainless steel

A planetary gearbox is commonly used in a Vertical Machining Center (VMC) to provide high torque and precise speed reduction for the machine's spindle motor, enabling accurate and powerful machining operations, especially when high torque is needed for deep cuts or heavy material removal; its compact size is also advantageous within the limited space of a VMC machine.
Introducing new QS18 Sensor with clear object detection. With a simple push button teach and a 400 ms response time, you can be up and running in no time. Align the sensor with the reflector, push and hold the teach button for 2 seconds, and you're ready to begin detections. The coaxial optics allows for detection of clear and mirror-like targets, operates at short distances from the reflector with no dead zones out to 3 meters, and has precise leading edge detection. The 3 user selectable thresholds allow the users to optimize the sensor's performance to detect small changes in the amount of light received. Even with difficult targets, the QS18's clear tracking provides reliable operation by compensating for dust build up and ambient temperature changes. Choose the QS18 for fast, reliable, and easy-to-use detection of clear objects.
